The Ketchum Release tool reduces fish mortality by allowing the angler to easily remove the hook without handling the fish. Simply slide the tool down the leader, over the fly, and down to the hook bend. Then, simply push the hook out of the fish's mouth or turn the tool so that the fish falls off the hook.
