RIO's Steelhead and Atlantic Salmon Leaders are perfectly designed for anadromous species such as steelhead and all types of salmon. Its clear, non-glare finish disappears in all water conditions. Its knotless taper has a thicker butt section and uses a slightly stiffer copolymer for turning over larger flies. This is also a highly abrasion-resistant leader.

• We like to use the 6-Foot RIO Steelhead/Salmon Leaders when we're using sink-tip lines.
• The 9-foot leaders are a good all-purpose leader for floating llines and for guys fishing nymphs.
• The 12-foot leaders are perfect for fishing floating lines on switch rods or shorter Spey rods.  We also like them on any kind of rod for skating dry flies.
• The 15-foot leaders are ideal for longer Spey rods when casting floating lines.  Their extra length is perfect for keeping the anchor during your Spey cast with the floating lines.
