It is roughly a half size heavier than standard lines and that extra weight makes the Rio Grand an excellent all-purpose line that is capable of casting larger nymphs and streamers or punching casts into the wind. In addition, the Rio Grand utilizes some of Rio's latest technologies such as their Agent X technology for maximum floatation, their new XS technology for impressive slickness, and also included is their Super Floatation Tip for an even higher floating tip.
