The Waterworks-Lamson Velocity reel was redesigned in 2009 and we really like what they did. The reel diameter increased to a more modern large arbor design, there is a new, very sharp look to the reel, and two new sizes were added to the line-up. More good news is that the same, dependable drag system remains, as well as the extra tough Hard Alox finish. The size "4" Velocity even features a larger drag system for stopping the big ones. All the Velocity reels are fully machined aluminum reels with their extra hard Hard Alox anodized finish for freshwater and salt. If you loved the Velocity before, like we did, you're going to love the new Velocity even more.
