New for 2009, the Sage Flight series of rods replaces the popular FLi rods and we like what we see. First, the new Flight rods are even lighter than the FLi rods. They are also a bit softer in the tip and allow the rod to load easier and cast more smoothly. They are still a fast action rod with plenty of power and a high performance feel, but the smoother action will provide a nicer load at short to medium casting distances where most of our fishing takes place. We think most people will really like the new Flight rods and appreciate the power, beauty, and grace of these new rods when they give them a cast. As Sage puts it, "These are simply great fly rods".
