The new TCX rods from Sage are a dream rod for the angler that likes fast rods and bombing long casts. They offer many of the same attributes as their predecessor, the TCR, but are even lighter and are nicer to cast. They are still a very fast-action rod but we have found the new TCX to be a better all purpose fishing tool. The TCX is at home in conditions such as saltwater flats and beaches, large steelhead and salmon rivers, stiff winds, chucking streamers, and launching full-sinking lines halfway across the lake for stillwater trout.
