New in 2008, Scott has really done it again with their introduction of the S4 series of fast action rods. The S4 is lightweight, beautifully designed, and easy to load for a rod that has all the power you need to really punch some line out when you want to. Scott uses three different high performance carbon fibers in the S4 that are each applied at a different angle for what Scott calls, Multi-Directional Layups. This design helps the S4 to track true for exceptional accuracy and a very smooth cast as the power of the rod transfers to the line. In addition, the S4 is built with top of the line components you will appreciate, such as titanium recoil snake guides, titanium frame stripping guides, and REC custom reel seats with extra select California buckeye burl wood spacers. They have also included 12- and 20-inch measuring wraps and alignment dots on the ferrules. The Scott S4 has created an enthusiastic following already. They are great rods for anglers that prefer a faster action rod yet won't compromise smoothness, feel and versatility.
