Midge Braid, or Frost Bite, is a braided plastic material that can be applied while braided or unravaled and applied to the hook in individual strands. Either way, it provides a shiny, realistic looking body for chironomids or mayfly nymphs.  It is approximately 1/8-inch wide when still braided an not under tension.
