Loading... Please wait...Ringneck pheasant skins have lots of great feathers on them and look beautiful dyed. The rump and flank feathers are incredibly useful for all sorts of flies. We use thom on small to medium Spey flies as an easy to find, inexpensive, and great looking Spey hackle. We also use them for collars on streamer patterns... and use some of the other feathers on the skin for shellbacks on crayfish and steelhed prawn patterns. The possibilities are endless for the creative tyer for sure.
