Mule Deer Hair is considered to be a bit coarser than whitetail deer on average.  The Mule Deer in these packs is generally medium to dark in color and medium to thick in diameter and hollowness.  It is great hair for spinning on medium to small flies like hoppers, muddlers, the Irresistible Adams, Goddard Caddis, etc.
