We had to have this product the moment we first laid eyes on it. It features a low heat 18W daylight bulb (100W equivalent) that produces an excellent amount of light. The magnifier has 1.75 magnification which is perfect for this application. Both the light and magnifier can be positioned independently and both can be removed from the base. The base itself is heavy and secure. If you've been needing a fly tying lamp/magnifier, you won't find a better product than this one or a better value for the price.
