Introduced in 2009 is the Simms Guide Boot with a Vibram rubber sole called StreamTread. The StreamTread soles are ideal when there is snow on the ground and are great for hiking along the stream banks. In the water, the rubber soles don't transfer invasive species from stream to stream like felt can. The Guide Boot is made from water-resistant Nubuck leather. They are tough, strong, don't shrink when they dry out. Due to its molded thermoplastic midsole, the Guide Boots are also lightweight and ready to conquer long days and miles of river. They also feature molded toe and heel counters, a very supportive yet super comfortable upper, and a new CleanStream design that makes these boots easier to clean and also limit the transfer of invasive species.
