Wow. We all know Simms makes great products. That's not new news... but this wading staff is absolutely killer. It is lightweight but strong. It collapses down at the push of a button into three pieces and folds into a sleek neoprene case. When you want to extend it, just drop the pieces down and it locks into place in a second. The pieces are held together with a heavy-duty, plastic coated wire cable that won't be wearing out anytime soon like other wading staffs. The comfortable rubber handle is nice in your hand and doesn't slip. The slim diameter of the staff cuts through the river currents much better than fatter staffs. Add to all of this the fact that you get a nice retractor included with the staff and you're all ready to loop it onto your wading belt and hit the river.
